Newnan City Church in Newnan, Georgia, is a growing Free Methodist congregation with a clear vision to reach its community and create space for long-term ministry impact. Founded in 2017 by Rev. Dr. Jimmy Ellison and his wife, Beth, the church now welcomes more than 500 people each week across four worship services.
God is at work through Newnan City Church as it serves and disciples people across generations. The church has built a strong culture of fellowship through more than 30 Community Groups where people gather for Bible study, prayer, encouragement, and spiritual formation throughout the week.
To prepare for the future, Newnan City Church has purchased approximately five acres of land just a few miles from its current leased location. The church will build a new 25,000-square-foot facility designed to support worship, discipleship, children’s ministry, leadership development, and deeper engagement with the surrounding community of more than 42,000 people.
Through this project, Newnan City Church is not simply constructing a building; it is creating room for more people to encounter Christ, grow in faith, and participate in the mission of God in Newnan and beyond.
